I do a lot of backpacking and backcountry hunting and this is by far the best fire starter that I have ever used ( and I’ve tried them all).. It weighs nothing and doesn’t take up much space but more importantly it can be a drowning rain and it will always light a fire in all conditions.
The other great use I have found is that it saved my pellet BBQ grill.. The igniter function on the motherboard of my grill went out and the part is no longer available. Rather than throwing away my $1,000 grill, I took a little of the Fireweb and put it in the firebox, dropped a couple pellets on it and lit it and “Wham!” my pellet grill lights right up. Just shows they’re a lot more uses for Fireweb. Couple of my friend’s wives also use it to take the hassle out of lighting fires in their wood stoves. Highly recommend!

Fire Web is a “must have” fire starter for anyone who enjoys the ambiance of an indoor fire or the many advantages of an outdoor fire. Coming off a Thanksgiving camping venture and using the Fire Web, I found it easy to use, effective, and one package started all of our fires for the entire trip.
It’s waterproof and wherever you build your fire, it will be much easier with Fire Web instead of heavy starters, messy liquids, expensive lighters, etc. Don’t forget your emergency and first aid kits.
(One strip of material from the package and one match is all you need!
Also, a great product for a Holiday gift or stocking stuffer.

Very compact for packs. Burns easily, but not too long. Good enough for a backup emergency bag.

I ordered these to use outside for the fire pit and camp fire. They work okay, but are kind of the on the pricey side for what you get. However, they are very flat and compact, which makes them easy to stuff in a pack or bag. The description clearly states that these are made from recycled materials which are cardboard and wax.

They don’t burn as long as some of the other fire starters I have. I’ve made my own little fire starters with cotton balls and those will last a bit longer than these. However, those tend to be messy and also making your own does take time. I’d recommend these if you want to have something just ready to go and use. These were also nicely packaged and flat for putting them in a backpack or bag. They don’t take up much room for how much material is in the bag.

I’ve broken off about two to three inches worth of the fire starter and it is enough to get things going. It comes apart like an accordion. You’ll still need some kindling to light in order to get a log or bundle going. Since it is wax and cardboard, it will burn even after getting wet in the pack.

I think I would only recommend this if you are really looking for something really flat or compact and you want the convenience of having fire starting material ready to go instead of making it yourself. Those are the only reasons I would maybe justify the price and quantity. If not, there are other options, maybe not as compact or slightly more messy that would possibly work a better for less. These are still a good option for an emergency pack since they store flat in a bag.

Use this fire web to get our fire pit started. It works great. Didn’t even need small kindling. It didn’t take much of it either. Just used pieces of 2×4’s and it lit it with ease. Best fire starter I have used. Will buy more.

I am looking forward to trying this out more extensively, but we’ve been under burn bans for a hot minute. However, this product is easy to use, doesn’t smell at all toxic, and is made in the USA, which means that it takes less fuel and other resources for your goods to get to you. Anyone who enjoys the outdoors should do their best to protect our natural environment with good choices (such as buying as locally as possible and also buying non-toxic items). The product is lightweight, making it a great choice for people who want to save space and reduce weight in their backpacks, car totes, etc. I’m thinking I might pick up a few extra packages for presents, too!

I have other firestarters that have been hit or miss. Some burn too fast, others take A LOT of work to get burning. This one… this one is perfect!

First of all, I love this web/lattice design! What a great idea! You can spread this out for max oxygenation (and coverage if you need it). Better yet, just break these up and use just bits as needed. Will catch flame even when wet. 1 pack of these will get you about 20 fires (or if you have other tinder and kindling close by, you might be able to squeeze a little more out of these.

This has earned a place in my pack. Quite impressed with this.

I hope you liked my review. I always try really hard to write reviews are are candid, honest, and helpful for your shopping decisions. No AI here… all the poor writing is mine and mine alone! 😛

Reliable Fire Starter for All Skill Levels

Having never been a boy scout, I’ve had my fair share of struggles with lighting a good fire in my fireplace. Despite understanding the basic principles, sometimes even a well-laid fire with kindling and the right type of wood just doesn’t catch. This is where the FireWeb Fire Starter has become an invaluable tool for me. It offers a foolproof solution for those of us who aren’t fire-building experts, providing a reliable way to get a fire going whether at home, camping, or in an emergency.

The FireWeb Fire Starter is designed with practicality in mind. Made from recycled materials and completely waterproof, it is a durable and eco-friendly option that works in any weather condition. This is a significant advantage, especially when I’m out camping or in situations where dry kindling isn’t readily available. The waterproof feature ensures that even if the fire starter gets wet, it will still function effectively, which is a huge relief during unpredictable outdoor adventures.

One of the standout features of this fire starter is its crumble-free design. Unlike other fire starters that can fall apart and create a mess, the FireWeb maintains its integrity, making it easy to handle and place precisely where needed. This has saved me a lot of frustration and clean-up time. Additionally, its web-like structure allows for flexible use. You can use as much or as little as you need, depending on the size of the fire you’re trying to build. This versatility is particularly useful for someone with my hit-and-miss fire-building skills.

In practice, the FireWeb Fire Starter has been a revelation. Whether I’m setting up the fire from the beginning or trying to revive a struggling fire, it has consistently delivered. For initial setups, I can place the fire starter among the kindling and wood, ensuring a strong and steady ignition. More importantly, for my skill level, it has proven invaluable for rescuing fires that didn’t catch on the first try. I simply add the fire starter to a few strategic spots around the fireplace and light it up. This has never failed to breathe new life into my otherwise shoddy firewood arrangements.

The FireWeb’s ease of use extends beyond just my home fireplace. I’ve also used it in backyard fire pits, where reliable fire-starting tools are essential. It’s lightweight and compact, making it easy to pack in my camping gear or emergency kits. Knowing I have a dependable fire starter gives me peace of mind, especially when I’m out away from home. Whether it’s for warmth, cooking, or simply the ambiance of a campfire, the FireWeb has proven to be an essential part of my outdoor gear.

The product’s origin is another plus for me. Being made in the USA, it assures a level of quality and reliability that I trust. It’s always a bonus to support products that are domestically produced, especially when they perform as well as the FireWeb does.

In terms of longevity, the FireWeb Fire Starter has exceeded my expectations. A little goes a long way, so one pack lasts through multiple fires, making it a cost-effective solution. Given how often I use my fireplace and fire pit, this is a significant benefit. It’s reassuring to know that I won’t run out of fire-starting material anytime soon.

In conclusion, the FireWeb Fire Starter is a four-star product in my book. It’s a reliable, easy-to-use, and eco-friendly fire starter that caters to both beginners and experienced fire builders. Its waterproof and crumble-free design, combined with the flexibility of use, makes it an indispensable tool for home, camping, and emergency situations. While it might not teach me how to be a better fire builder, it certainly compensates for my shortcomings and ensures that I can enjoy a warm, cozy fire whenever I need one. I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up more as I go through this, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable fire-starting solution.
